The 2016-2017 Minnesota Wild season is upon us. After the last two seasons of ups and downs, the hope is a fresh new season starts off just as strong as last year --- where the Wild won all 5 games at home and went 7-2-2 in October. November and December of 2015 brought them up to 46 points before a repeat of a January meltdown.
The newest additons to the Wild come in the form of new head coach Bruce Boudreau as well as Eric Staal from Carolina. The likeable Chris Stewart returns to the Wild after last season in Anaheim (playing for none other than Boudreau). In additon, last years' leading goal scorer Zach Parise (25 goals) is coming back from rehabbing a back injury that kept him out of the first round of last years' playoffs against Dallas.
If the Wild get off to a fast start just like our beloved Vikings, the State of Hockey is in for a great next couple of months.
